Undaunted by the reluctance of my previous books to enter the bestseller lists, I am currently working on a new one. The subject will be the end times which most readers of this blog will agree is the period we find ourselves in now. The provisional title is A Manual for the End Times though that may change as it is slightly dull, even if it does have the merit of describing the contents.
The book will consist of various essays looking into what the end times is, how it manifests, or is manifesting because it surely is, and how we should react to it/them. There are at the moment, though this may change, four sections which are End Times, Spiritual Tradition, Spiritual Practice and God and the Soul. The basic theme is that the end times represents that period at the end of a cycle when the spiritual energy that was initially injected into the world, in one sense at the Incarnation though the actual start of the cycle dates from farther back, begins to run out which means that matter reasserts itself over spirit with all the consequences you might expect. We have been seeing some of these consequences over the last couple of centuries, but today the situation is becoming worse as the process, which is essentially the working out of the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics on the spiritual plane or as it relates to the spiritual in the material, has reached the stage in which the balance has definitely tipped. This tipping of the balance will result in a speeding up of the process though it also means there will be a concomitant reaction to the increase of inverted energy, as one might think of it. For even in the darkest times when spirit is apparently almost completely absent, we all still have an inner connection to reality. That cannot be destroyed and might even become stronger as the external world descends into outright denial of truth.
The end times might seem disastrous when you are caught up in them but they are a natural process and inevitable in a material world. Matter is intrinsically unstable. Only spirit is permanent. And they also present opportunity if we react to them correctly though that does mean standing against the flow.
I may be posting here slightly less often while working on the book but will continue to maintain the blog and perhaps will sometimes include sections from the book here.

For what it's worth, I don't think that title is "dull" at all. Being familiar with your work, and as a faithful reader here for 7-8 years or so, I feel a sense of comfort at the thought of having "A Manual for the End Times" consisting of your writings...
Regardless the title, I look forward to purchasing the book, which I believe will be a welcome resource to have to hand as 'these times' unfold.
Best wishes in the endeavor - I pray The Holy Spirit aids your efforts!

It's great that you are putting out another book. I wish I could find the same motivation.
I don't mean to be rude of course, but I think that's a terrible title. Not least because manual implies the physical (e.g. manual labor).
Reminds me of something stupid I heard when I was a child, that the word "Bible" is an acronym for "Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth".
That being said, whatever you title it I'll buy it, just as I bought the other three. I'm most of the way through Meeting the Masters and I have little doubt the other two contain a great deal of wisdom as well. I'm particularly interested by what I've skimmed through in Remember The Creator, but I have to finish what I've started otherwise I'd never finish anything.
I rather agree about the title. It's just a 'does what it says on the tin' kind of thing which is only provisional. I have a long way to go with the book so I'm sure I can come up with something better as I go along.
Thank you for buying my books. That gives you the authority to say anything you like!
Perhaps "Survival Manual for the End Times." You are right that ebb and flow of spirit and matter are fundamental to the cosmic order, but there are many who may assume your title means "Repair Manual for the End Times." Repairing the material world is a trap that draws men into the material world because it treats as primary what is of secondary importance. Those who survive in the End Times will somehow not be drawn down into the maelstrom of materialism, and the first rule of survival is to respect the power of the forces that are trying to destroy you. In the case of the End Times, I expect survival will require preservation of the knowledge of the Penultimate Times when the prospect of the End Times was clear. Once we are fully in the End Times (the maelstrom of materialism has closed over hour heads), I expect it will be very hard to remember that there was a time when men could breathe the spirit and feel the warmth of its sun. Perhaps a good opening line for the book would be, "The reason for this book will probably be less clear to you in the future, and that is why you must read and study it now."
I might just have to take you up on that suggestion since it's much better than the title I had. I will, of course, give you due acknowledgement. One of the sections does go into the inevitability of this period and how it can't be cured only endured which is not to say we can't gain from living now but that will be on a spiritual level.
That's a good point JMSmith makes about people not remembering (or choosing not to think about) what came before. It's quite disappointing and it's already happening. I don't think anyone has a comprehensive strategy about what to do, but sometimes people don't even seem to be aiming for anything good. They talk about various forms of techno-totalitarianism or social engineering. Or they celebrate destruction but with nothing good to take the place of what's being destroyed. Even ten years ago people were actually envisioning something good, not far fetched schemes about basically bad things but using them for good.
I don't know whether this is the end times, but it's an end times. It's true that we can't undo everything that's happening, but not even aiming for anything good isn't the answer.
This is why it is important to read old books and listen to old music sometimes, to remind oneself that there is something else there in the cosmos and that the world we live in today is not the only viable option. It is like being reminded that sunshine exists when you are in the depths of winter.
A Hitchhikers Guide to the End Times!
I'm not sure that quite conveys the appropriate message!
